Montenegro’s Prime Minister, Dusko Markovic, said that foreign investors are interested in investing a total of 92.8 million euros in the development of Montenegro’s two international airports in Tivat and Podgorica.
Markovic said that foreign investors had shown serious interest towards Tivat and Podgorica airports. He added that the government plans to analyze and define in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) a model for their future development.
The government expects the two airports to handle record-high five million passengers after two or three years, he added.
Podgorica and Tivat airports serviced a total of 1.86 million passengers in 2016, an increase of 10.9% over the previous year.
