According to the budget for 2018, the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare will allocate 16.67 million euros for maternity leave in 2018, which is 1.62 million euros more than last year. Along with this, the fees for newborns also increased by 20 percent.
It was clarified that maternity leave also includes financing equipment for a newborn and maternity benefits based on the records of the Employment Bureau.
For the next year, 4.5 million euro is allocated for child benefits, which is a million euro more than in 2017.
The budget of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare for this year was 95.7 million, which is less than last year because the maternity benefits for mothers of three or more children have been abolished.
