Turkish state-run aid agency Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), is helping children with autistic disorder in Montenegro.
In the statement on Friday, December 8, the agency said that it has set up a room for children with autism in a preschool in Niksic, the second largest city in the country. The agency also said that biofeedback technology would be used in the room to help children improve their symptoms.
Turkey’s Ambassador to Podgorica, Serhat Galip, Montenegro’s Deputy Education Minister, Ariana Nikolic, and mayor of Niksic, Veselin Grbovic, attended the opening ceremony of the project.
Nikolic thanked TIKA on behalf of the Montenegrin government, stating that the project had made a significant contribution to the care of children with autism.
