At this time, I will speak about “Safe Sport”. Each of us wanted to look fit, sporty or even like an athlete at least once in his life. This applies not only to the guys but also to girls, who dream of having a beautiful, slim body. Many of us have started to improve ourselves, but somebody is still thinking about it. As in any other important subject, in sports, you need to put a lot of effort in order to get the desired result, and each of us is ready for this. Frequently we want quick results so much, that we often forget about the right and safe technique, and as a result, can hurt ourselves with thoughtless actions in the gym.
Why I called this article “Safe Sport”. First of all, I will tell you as a professional athlete that even professional sports can be safe. All troubles occur out of such factors as inattention, carelessness, boldness or self-confidence. Some guys even make a show out of their trainings just to impress others. It is not clear why!😀 All of these leads to injuries.
I want to give you a couple of tips on how to avoid injury in the sport. I can not give you 100% guarantee that you are not injured, but I want to increase your chances to stay safer. So let’s go!!!
- First and foremost, determine your goal of being in the gym. You need to understand what shape you want to achieve. Different goals require different time and energy. And if you go to a gym just because you are bored, then better go to a rock concert.
- The second very important point, find the coach. Correct exercises are the basis of any sport. Do not say that the coach is too expensive. To heal the damaged tissues or joints is much more expansive, and requires more time and resources. I’m not talking about pain and the discomfort, which are caused even by minor damage.
- Be patient, do not chase after huge scales, flat stomachs, and large biceps. Remember, none of us was born a superman, we were all born bald and helpless. Develop gradually and remember, the one, going the right way, will overtake the one, who runs and has gone astray.
- Coming into the gym, leave your problems behind the door. Focus on your goal. Do a warm-up, warm up every part of your body, muscles, and joints, not just target muscles. If you are not sure about the weights that should be lifted, or the exercise that you should be doing, do not just because of doing it.
In the end, I’ll say, learn to think, no matter what you do, sharpen the technique. Do not be fooled by thoughts, “I’m not a professional, I can train any way I want”. It does not work, you have to think through every workout, every exercise. At the moment of exercises, you must think about the muscles that you work with, not about problems at work and other nonsense. Yes NONSENSE, because, there are no things more important than your health, without your health, there is now YOU.
