Montenegrin recording studio Rabbit Records, in cooperation with Made in New York Competition and Festival INC from New York (USA), organizes the third in a row Made in New York Jazz Festival, Montenegro 2018!
The festival will take place on June 15 at the Summer stage in Tivat and on June 17 at the atrium “The Capital Plaza” in Podgorica, both starting at 9 pm.
In James Brown Tribute Band, at the Ethno Jazz Club “Sejdefa” (at Stanka Dragojevića 10) in Podgorica on June 16 at 21h, the concert will feature the program content of the festival.
During the three days of the festival some of the greatest names of the world jazz scene as well as regional jazz artists will perform: Dave Weckl – drums, Yaacov Mayman – sax, Richie Goods – bass, Raymond Ray Angry – keyboard, Jorge Luis Pacheco – piano, Igmar Thomas – trumpet, Caloé – vocal, Brianna Thomas – vocals, Ivan Aleksijevic – piano, Milorad Sule Jovovic – guitar, Vladimir Tubic – guitar, Ivan Ilic – trombones, Miladin Wes Perunicic – guitar, Max Kochetov – sax, Vladimir Maraš – piano.
On Sunday, June 17 at 13:00, Hard Rock Cafe will host a “Jazz Session with Jazz Masters” for students of music schools, students of the Music Academy and all interested parties, where participants will take short lectures and answer questions to visitors.
Only a couple of weeks after the festival held at New York’s Tribeca Performing Arts Center, the most important names of American jazz music come to Montenegro! The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the jazz funk repertoire, jazz standards as well as the author’s compositions, along with the expected instrumental and vocal jazz brass braves.
The strategic partner of the festival this year is “The Capital Plaza”, and the sponsors are the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro, Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, National Tourism Organization, Hipotekarna banka, Tivat Center for Culture, US Embassy in Montenegro, Capital and its Secretariat for culture, Toshiba and Hotel Center Ville.
