The port of Kotor is located on the far southern coast of the Bay of Kotor at the foot of the Pestingrad and Vrmac mountains. The journey into the port has an amazing view of the mountains rising on both sides of it.

The port of Kotor has experienced and grown with the development in the area and especially with the maritime development. It’s better suited for cruise ships, passenger transport and nautical tourism rather than for large industrial vessels.

The weather is generally pleasant and not stormy with a southeasterly wind that brings rain and a northerly wind that is dry. The waves reach a height of only 50cm with the changing tides fluctuating between 30 and 60cm.  The sea current is not very strong either which makes this ideally suited for boats.
