Over hundred young opera talents applied for Operosa Montenegro Opera Festival 2017!
This summer in August (23th – 27th) Montenegro will again host it’s one and only opera festival – Operosa Montenegro Opera Festival (#OMOF2017).
Over a hundred young and talented opera singers from different parts of the world applied to take part at the Festival’s highlight performance – Montenegrin premier of Tchaikovsky’s opera “Iolanta”.
The singers had opportunity to perform in front of artistic panel which was consisted of: Mrs. Katherine Haataja – CEO and Artistic Director of Operosa, Mr. Ashley Dean – Stage Director, Maestro Mr. Eraldo Salmieri – Conductor and Music Director of Operosa, and Mrs. Tea Đorđević – Director of Operosa Academia.
According to jury’s statements, after the auditions in Belgrade, selection will be difficult and they are highly impressed by quality of candidates who applied. They emphasize that there were numerous future opera stars auditioning.
Young talent is that special ingredient that makes Operosa productions always so unique, especially because they cooperate with internationally recognised opera Artistic Directors during the Festival.
