The holidays are in their full motion, and I would like to share with you some interesting thoughts about a variety of things that might be useful in your daily life and all its spheres. This time I will talk about CREATIVITY.

I was thinking about HUMAN the other day. Interesting observation about the rules: some people break the rules, and it leads to the innovation, and there are people, who follow the rules, and it leads to the consistency, stability and proper execution. The balance is here again as in many other areas of our life.
“There is no doubt that creativity is the most important human resource of all. Without creativity, there would be no progress, and we would be forever repeating the same patterns.” – Edward de Bono
Just ask your self now: have you ever noticed that you are repeating someone? How do you feel about that? Innovators are rule breakers. We often see how new entrants to a market break the rules to which that the existing players conform. Human creativity is the starting point of innovation.
“There is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium, and it will be lost.” — Martha Graham
So, my theory is that creativity is that particular element of the human being, which is unique and difficult to replace with the AI, robots or machines. According to the McKinsey & Company report, 800 million workers worldwide could be replaced at work by robots. So what makes people being valuable at their job is to be able to create and imagine because, even those robots, are created by human.

Creativity is like jazz improvisation; you play what is coming out of you, you don’t plan it, nobody told you that, you haven’t heard that or stolen from someone. It is a pure reflection of your particular personality and inner state; it is a meditation, it is oxygen for the soul.

So this is what is valuable nowadays – the personality, identity, authenticity – this is what makes us different, creative and special.

One wise man told me recently, a human has a high potential, and we use our body, brains and soul capabilities for a just tiny percentage.  Isn’t it curious how and what is the human, what is you, living with the full capacity of your body, mentality, and soul?

Julia Cameron in her book “The Artist’s Way” she gives the Basic Principles of the creativity, which I would like to share with you:

1. Creativity is the natural order of life. Life is energy: pure creative energy.
2. There is an underlying, in-dwelling creative force infusing all of life — including ourselves.
3. When we open ourselves to our creativity, we open ourselves to the creator’s creativity within us and our lives.
4. We are ourselves, creations. And we, in turn, are meant to continue creativity by being creative ourselves.
5. Creativity is God’s gift to us. Using our creativity is our gift back to God.
6. The refusal to be creative is self-will and is counter to our true nature.
7. When we open ourselves to exploring our creativity, we open ourselves to God: good orderly direction.
8. As we open our creative channel to the creator, many gentle but powerful changes are to be expected.
9. It is safe to open ourselves up to greater and greater creativity.
10. Our creative dreams and yearnings come from a divine source. As we move toward our dreams, we move toward our divinity.”

I had a chance to talk about it with several experts, working in this creative field, who shared their thoughts on the question of innovation and creativity.
