Montenegro

Montenegro has it’s coast on the south-west of the Adriatic Sea and is bordered by Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia and Albania Montenegro territory covers over 13,800km2 as well as 4,800km2 of the Adriatic Sea, one of the cleanest and clearest waters in the world.

The official language in Montenegro is Montenegrin. There are also regional languages people speak such as Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian and Albanian. Russian and English languages are spoken due to tourist orientation of the country.

The country has its population which is stated as 620 000 citizens. Most nationalities don’t need a visa to enter the country. The visa-free period is 90 days. The official currency is Euro.

Key cities to visit will include Kotor – an An ancient, fortified town located deep down the Boka Kotorska Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Tivat – A small town in the Kotor Bay, quickly emerging into a major tourist, business and transport hub, and Cetinje – The old royal capital of Montenegro, with a large number of museums, monasteries and former embassies. The capital of Montenegro is Podgorica.

Key attractions which are liked by most of the tourists are Perast city, Durmitor national park, Sveti Stefan, and Ostrog Monastery.

National parks are amazing in Montenegro and here some of them which should be visited, Biogradska Gora, Lovcen, Skadar Lake.

Montenegro has 3 international airports: Podgorica, Tivat and Dubrovnik (Croatia). Podgorica is more convenient for visiting the North of Montenegro, Dubrovnik has more flight options from most European locations.
