Zekova Glava is a peak on the second mountain range of Mount Bjelasica and is the highest peak on this mountain at over 2000 meters high. It was formed due to volcanic activity and this has given it a smooth and rounded shape. As such it is not ideal for rock climbing, but is ideal for less strenuous mountain activities.
In summer this mountain is the greenest mountain in Montenegro with lots of water and is truly a sight worth going to see. In winter this mountain is covered in snow. There are easy hiking trails and the mountain is also accessible by car. There are also biking trails on this mountain.
Ključ is a peak on the first mountain range of Mount Bjelasica. This peak is just under 2000 meters high. It is close to the city of Kolašin and the Tara river as well as the Morača river.
Green in summer and white in winter this mountain peak offers everything you’d expect from a mountain like hiking and skiing. A monastery and a chapel have been built on the slopes of Ključ with a gravel road that connects the two.
Orjen is the highest peak of the Dinaric Alps mountain range. This karst mountain borders Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina. From the Montenegro side access is via Herceg Novi.
Due to the karst features this peak has jagged edges and high cliffs. There are also deep pits and caves. This mountain has a lot of snow due to the high rainfall in the area although due to the limestone nature of the mountain water runs off and is not retained on the mountain making water a scarce commodity in this area. There are three huts on this mountain and the mountain is mostly used for hiking and scientific research.
Savin Kuk is a mountain peak in the Durmitor mountain range. This is one of the most popular mountain peaks because of the available infrastructure like a ski lift that goes almost right to the summit.
The views of the area, including the view over Black Lake and the pine tree forests, are breathtaking and this is one of the most photographed mountain peaks. This mountain has all the needed facilities for skiing, including equipment rental, restaurants and facilities for children.
The Lovćen mountains is in the Lovćen National Park. The National Park is located on the highest part of the Lovćen mountains. It is part of the Dinaric Alps mountain range and has several summits of which the Jezerski Vrh summit is the most well-known.
Popular activities here are Nordic skiing and hiking. The mountain is also accessible by car. Many of the hiking trails are not well marked and are mostly shepherd’s trails. However, there is a visitor’s center with some maps available.
Mount Bjelasica is a huge mountain range North East of Podgorica. It is broken down into 4 smaller mountain ranges with several peaks each. This mountain range was created due to volcanic activity which gives it a smooth, rounded appearance. It is green in summer and covered by snow in winter with many lakes and sources of water. It has ancient forests with trees that are hundreds of years old.

Sinjajevina consists of large mountain stretches, plains, fields and plateaus. Its limestone structure has also led to the formation of high cliffs and peaks. Part of the mountain is used as pasture for cattle and sheep and the shepherd’s summer houses, katuns, can be found here.
This mountain is perfect for hiking, horseback trails, mountain biking and snowshoe hiking. It is especially suited for longer hiking expeditions. It is located between Kolašin and Njegovuđa.
