The Atelje DADO Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in Cetinje, the historical capital of Montenegro. The gallery mostly presents exhibitions of regional artists working with a wide range of artistic forms, paintings, sculptures, photography and videos. This gallery also promotes contemporary art by organizing workshops, lectures, and conferences. The permanent sections include the work of outstanding artists from abroad, the promotion of young Montenegrin artists and themed exhibitions of work belonging to the National Museum of Montenegro.
#2. Go and watch a new movie in Ciniplexx in Podgorica or Budva
“Cineplexx” is a new cinema with the latest digital equipment that creates extremely high picture quality and sound. Watch the latest movies, even in 3D where available. They also hold fun events and special screenings. It is located in the shopping mall “Delta City” in Podgorica and in the TQ Plaza in Budva. You can use public transport to get there or if you take your own car there is free parking available.
#3. Visit The Maritime Museum of Montenegro, in Kotor
The Maritime Museum of Montenegro in Kotor has a very interesting collection of items dating back to the 16th century. For example, in the central exhibition hall you can see ships from the 16th – 18th century that were used to fight off pirates on the Mediterranean seas. In the drawing room of the Ivelic Family are a variety of paintings by a famous painter of the seas, Vasilije Ivankovic. You can also see the family’s collection of weapons including French weapons that were seized by the family from Napoleon’s army. Visit the Ethnography section to see Montenegrin Folk costumes, glass showcases, old English ceramics and much more.
#4. Visit Bar Heritage Museum
In the Cultural Centre of Bar is the Bar Heritage Museum with a gallery, exhibitions and also a library. The museum has a historical, archaeological and ethnographic section. Come and see authentically crafted items that came from the castle of King Nikola. There is also an interesting collection of national costumes, jewelry and household items. The library section has a reading room and a lending section.
#5. City Gallery in Old Kotor Town
The City Gallery of Kotor is an exhibition space, which exhibits works of local and foreign contemporary artists. The gallery is a display of fine and applied arts, and exhibitions of new media (video, installations, performance). This is a vibrant environment with trendy and new items on display.

Karver is an open space – bookshop – gallery – coffee – internet club in the center of Podgorica close to Hotel Montenegro on the bank of the Ribnica River. Browse a huge selection of books from various publishers across the region of the South Slavic, Albanian and English as well as 50 different magazines in French, Italian, English and German. A selection of images from young Montenegrin painters and graphic artists are also on display.
#9. Montenegrin art gallery “Miodrag Dado Djuric”
The Montenegrin art gallery “Miodrag Dado Djuric” is a truly modern exhibition space. View paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings and installations as well as different forms of extended media: digital art, intermediate studies, conceptual art, performance, events … The gallery organizes individual and group exhibitions with Montenegrin and foreign artists, lectures, presentations, roundtables, concerts, literary evenings etc. On permanent display are masterpieces of contemporary Yugoslav and Montenegrin fine arts.
#10. Eat at one of the best restaurant in the capital Imanja Knjaz
This is a large and opulent restaurant in the capital city of Montenegro. With 180 seats inside the restaurant and a further 400 in the garden, you can enjoy a variety of traditional and international cuisine, prepared by top chefs, in this monumental building, surrounded by greenery and vegetation. Tucked away next to the river, this restaurant is completely isolated from the noise and commotion.

Cats, cats and more cats! With a huge collection of historical cat images this museum is better than YouTube! Not only paintings, but old postcards, prints, lithographs, exercise books, stamps, coins and medals all dedicated to cats. They also hold events and exhibitions. Come and view, cute, funny, serious and fluffy cat images!
